Murfreesboro, TN(Zone 7a)

Greetings ~

Phase II of Leaving California has begun... going to use the equity in our house to buy a new one and rent out the old one. Back to eating Macaroni & Cheese! That way, we hope to have *two* houses to sell in two years and 3 months. Hopefully the market will go up some by then. I got used to being debt-free and having money to spend, but time to practice not having money again! I keep telling me it is worth it. It is, I know, but sometimes I forget. So I keep coming back here and reading about the goats and the smell of fresh cut hay and the close ties to rain and snow and mud and being in touch with all of the cycles of life, and I know it is and will be. Patience. I think Someone is also trying to teach me patience ;-)

Anyway, bright, sunny day. Fresh smelling after the rains. Daffodils in full splendor here at work and in my neighbor's yard. Daylilies comming into their own. Coppied a recipe from "Cook and Gardener" by Amanda Hess for strawberry jam. I'm ready, strawberries, I'm readdy!

Take care, everyone.

Karla
