Brug Ver. Hybrid "Blushing Bride"

Norwalk, IA(Zone 5b)

This was a hybrid I did early on...and it didn't bloom real well...I destroyed this one later on..But I think NHE still has it.
Was a nice color but didn't hold up well when it bloomed.

It is really lovely . . . too bad it did not bloom well and keep the color well. Kyle, I am so glad that you will be working of some new things. Look forward to hearing about them.

Oh, Kyle, that's was a pretty one; soryy you destroyed it; I love the color. Hopefully, in Florida at Earl's I will get your giant white brug. I am hoping it will grow well by the swimming pool if I water it well. That's going to be real pretty at night, don't you think with those big white blooms. My dh is putting in a sprinkler system on the side of the pool so when we go out of town or our temps get to 99 degrees like it does in the summer, then it will get plenty of water. Roz

In what way didn't it bloom well?

Norwalk, IA(Zone 5b)

Liz...it didn't bloom often or have very many blooms at one time.....didn't impress anyone so off it went. When I use to have several hundred plants of these..I couldn't keep everything..so those that aren't up to my standards have to go. Culling is vitally important in breeding programs..can't keep things for no good reason. Each has to have certian qualities to be kept.

Too bad it didn't grow well. I have your Sunray that I got at Logees and it was Y'd when I bought it and it's only about 8" high. Can't wait to see it bloom.

Kyle, the shape and color of the flower is top. Do you keep something close? If there is a chance to get Blushing Bride, I would like to have it. This type of hybrids are very rare.

The flower has a beautiful shape. Well done, Kyle, too bad it got culled.

Why is this type of hybrid rare?

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

We dont have this type in Europe. Silver Dawn comes close to it.

Hamilton, Canada

Kyle,
This certainly is a wonderful, delicate color. This one I like regardless of the flowering habit.
