For those afraid to try grafting on their own...next person that posts here will get their very own grafted hybrids from me. I haven't started them yet mind you, but it is the season to be grafting as they say in a few short weeks.

FSH, TX

Okay, I win...am I a stinker or what? A gift from me to me?

Brugman, you can't win. It's me. LOL

FSH, TX

Can we still ship to Canada? If so you can sure bet I will send you a few grafted Brugs. Its nothing but a grafting thing baby....to crazzy fools going Brug crazzy...unbeatable unstopable so please don't try to show me any more of Monika's hybrids or I'm going to go plum crazzy. Yeah, and you don't stop. And the doctors say I need to stop hangin out under the brugs late at night....

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

If it can't go to Canada,I'm next!!!!

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

Me too! I'll take any leftovers.

CrestedChik,
You are more than welcome to one regardless of whether I can ship to Canada or not. Consider yourself on the list for a grafted Brugmansia as well. Grafts are so much more fun then plain old cuttings anyway. Just have to keep them from freezing.

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

ROFLOL Eric. You are a hoot."Two crazy fools going Brug crazy". That sounds like all of us.

FSH, TX

So, its 3 for grafted hybrids? I think I can accomodate that. I will be expecting priority mail stamps from all takers though.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Brugmansia, I mentioned to NotMartha and GoVols that we were trying grafting in our group this year and they wanted me to start them each and orange and white braided brug. I've got them rooted in the same pot now. I will let you know how they turn out.

Saint Petersburg, FL(Zone 9b)

I have three dr suess that I am brading together. now they are about 3' tall so far they havn't grafter together but the stocks are going to be growing into each other soon

Cut them so that they match up evenly...ie expose some tissue and then rebind and you'll find that you graft takes 2-3 weeks to form. I wish I was better explaining things like this, but I am hoping that sending a few examples out will be enough to get the general idea out. Perhaps I should take a few pictures as well during each stage?

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

Yes Eric. Please post pictures. It sounds like something I may like to do someday.

FSH, TX

SnowHermit,
I can do better than post pictures for you...I can send you your own grafted plants as well, but thats it...I can only send out 4 grafts. Anymore than that and I'll have to send out 7.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

can I still take you up on the offer?? can get a stamp out Monday or did you already reach 4? I lost count

FSH, TX

Okay-going for 7 now Tig, but if it doesn't make it to seven the deal is off. By the way-no stamps until the grafts are done. Thats the only way to do it.

Angleton, TX(Zone 9a)

Ok, I think I am lucky tonight, I don't think your are past 7 yet and I know that you will get 7!!!!!!!!

Angleton, TX(Zone 9a)

Irish, Thanks for inserting the link. All this information is great and I would have never found this.

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

Eric, Now I'm really excited. Now I can see up close and personal how it's properly done. Thank you.Let me know when you want the stamp.

Angleton, TX(Zone 9a)

Brugmansia
Just got finished reading the thread on grafting that Irish put in a hyperlink to and I feel so dumb sometimes. I had no idea that one could graft to a stem and then after the graft takes that one could cut the stem and root it. When I think of grafting, I always just thought that one had to graft to the trunk (like pecan trees) Duh!! I am just so amazed at the things I have learned here from such knowledgable people like you and I thank you.
