Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Just got mine yesterday and I said the same thing. Problem is that they didn't send it soon enough and I already ordered way over a hundred bucks worth from the old catalog. Guess I must have wanted that stuff too. I'll get what I want though, just wait and see.

do you know they have a web site
http://www.logees.com/store/

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

It is a great site too, but there is just something about having that catalog in the hands. Makes me want just a little harder. :-)

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8a)

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

I had to use every bit of self control I had when I visited their greenhouse.I left there with 5 new Brugs and 1 flaming violet.I bought one of yours Kyle, Sunray. It would have been very easy to fill the car with plants they had so many beautiful ones.

Norwalk, IA(Zone 5b)

Snowhermit I want to go see their greenhouses some day...:-)

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

I heard that the plants they send are really small.(but healthy)How do I get their catalog?they have that variegated lemon......

Toadsuck, TX(Zone 7a)

OK,I went to logees web site.Big mistake! My shopping cart was so expensive that I had to put things back. Now I can't remember what I ended up ordering.DUH!Guess I'll be surprized when I get it ,huh?

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

CC, I hope you didn't get stuff that I could have sent you.

S.

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

ME TOO! I wish I could remember, one that I'm pretty sure I got was the variegated lemon.I love Callas and she said she'd try to airlayer one for me.I'm sure its very difficult to do ,don't want her to hurt her plant,so I ordered the small one from Logees.I think I ordered a tibouchina,Arlene has some ,but since there seems to be different varieties ,maybe I'll end up with more than one kind. All I can remember is the things that were on my origanal order that I chopped in 1/4.LOL!I think I ordered Kyles "Star's and Stripes",but I can't remember!!!Blonde moment, grey moment ,airhead moment.......

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

You didn't hit on anything that I have, but sounds like you had fun shopping. I need a couple hundred extra $$ before I can go back to Logee's.

Bodrum, Turkey(Zone 10a)

I have a questions about the brugs that they have, what size are they? some of them say also available in 4" size, so what are the regular ones? I couldnt find it..

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Pebble, the brugs come in 4 inch or 2-1/2 inch pots. I've never ordered the small pots and have been very satisfied with the large ones. Those that I have received have been thick stemed and usually about a foot tall or taller. Very healthy. Have never been disappointed in anything I've received from this company.

Some of the brugs from this company only come in one size or the other, abd some say both sizes and prices. I don't see any that say also available in 4" size, but my eyes don't work well all the time either.

You won't be disappointed in whatever size you purchase. With brugs, they grow so fast, that I'm sure the difference in size would be made up quickly.

Forgot, so I'm editing to add this.....I ordered a lot of stuff from them this spring, but am most anxious to get and grow the one on the cover of the magazine. Looks like a little sanguinea brug, but it isn't.

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

I'm pretty sure some of the things in my first shopping attempt(that I put back) will end up there the next time.I want a variegated brug,I've killed 3 so far,There was a variegated passiflora ,they said it would do well as a hanging basket,a bouganvillia,(gee ,it was variegated too...is this a pattern???)a key lime,etc.......Since I have heard different opinions of Logees,I figure I'll play it safe with just a few this time.....

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

CC. do you have the variegated clerodendrun thomsonaie? I have a couple of extras rooting if you want them. I'd be happy to trade them for the plant you are rooting for me. The Solandra Maxima. Geez, I hope I didn't get you mixed up with someone else.

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

I have 1 section of the Solandra I'm rooting by airlayer the others I have in water.Nothing died yet!(I tried both ways just so I have a back up in case I screw up.)I knew I was rooting it for someone!I gotta figure out who I'm rooting the variegated abutilon for....I did it,it rooted !!!

Bodrum, Turkey(Zone 10a)

Brugie, what was on the cover that looks like a sanguinea?
maybe I might just want one too.....
Well, I have several brugs earmarked, the shredded and the double for sure, and the cypress gardens just for the heck of it. I have some cuttings of an equdor pink that I hope will take off, and I have a sanguinea that I am babying, so I should have a well rounded collection of the brugs available for my garden (of course if I had access to the european ones....ohhh la la la)
Brugie, let me know what the cover photo is if you can recall.

thanks

Bodrum, Turkey(Zone 10a)

Brugie, I forgot to ask, did yours bloom the same year you got them?

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

The plant on the front of the catalog is the Juanulloa Arrantica. I just love it. It is on page 58.

Yes, my brugs from Logee's bloomed the first year. Maybe a couple of times. Can't remember. Have one more ordered from them this year. The Suaveolens Variegata. I had it the first or second year I had brugs and I let the mites kill it. Dumb me, I didn't know what the problem was with the plants. Had very little bloom on a couple of the others. Learned my lesson. Gotta watch for those little guys.

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

I think I over watered mine. They basically rotted but none of the others did?

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

I just went back and looked at the Clerodendrun.I LOVE IT!

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Okay, when you are ready for me to send, I'll do it. Don't know if I have your snail mail address or not, but you can send it in an email if you want.

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

Ok ya'll. What should I get? I want the 'Lady Margret' & the 'Nephrodes' passion flowers. What else should I get? I'm tropical dumb here. I'd be willing to order something different than what you all have so I can share cuttings in the summer. Tell me what to order... I'm overwhelmed looking at all the pictures!

Norwalk, IA(Zone 5b)

Poppysue..I ordered that Lady Margaret Passionflower too..its gorgeous!!I got nephroides from them last fall..its starting to take off now..I need to repot it.

WICHITA'''CORRECT SPELLING,LOL' I'm going the 24th to get some daylilies,can't wait,yipeeee''' Here's a link if anyone is interested.....http://pbmfaq.dvol.com/list/index.html

That's good to know Kyle. I like the 'Cyanea' passiflora too. Do you have that one?

I like the looks of that cantua buxifolia. Looks sorta like a cross between a fushia & a brug. It says full sun, winter bloomer. I don't think it would do well for me - since I can't provide very good light in the winter months.

What about jasmines? gardenias? or the clerodendrums? Can I grow them here and winter indoors in low light? The description of the uncarina grandidieri ... sounds like the plant for me. Says it tolerates dry conditions , even to the point of neglect. Anyone have that?

Norwalk, IA(Zone 5b)

Poppysue...the Uncarina is a very rare succulent shrub from Madagascar.I have one thats about 8 years old and is about 24 inches tall..blooms every summer..but if you over water it..its gone..dry is always better on succulents.

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

Poppy sue,you could get almost anything out of that catalog, and I'd be beggin for a trade!Does anyoneone grow that passiflora organensis,is it as pretty as it sounds??

Hamilton, Canada

Poppysue,
I have gardenias indoors. They need to be misted and prefer medium light. The fragrance is amazing. I have one extra little one that I would trade for a passiflora...anyone of the passifloras even incarnata would be okay with me. email me directly.
