This is the water garden at work that I do each year.Last year I grew many tropical waterlilies as well as hardies. I had almost 50 different plants in the pool which is about 3000 gals.
Water garden at work last year....
Gorgeous!! ummm,,,perhaps some plant trading in the future?? "T" :)
are you growing elephant ears in that pond??? tell me how, everytime I put them in, they rot
Eclipse we're all jelous of your job. Sometimes I wonder if I'd garden at home if I did it for a living. Do you ever get sick of it? Nahhhhhhh!!!!
tiG email me about the elephant ears in the pool!
Poppysue..when I worked retial it was a pleasure to come home and plant things..but since I returned to Greenhouse work and outdoor beds..it IS a problem to come home after 8 hours of gardening and then do 4-5 hours of it at home..You can see why I have been lax on my hybridizing over the last 4 years! :-)
Kyle, but your at it again thank goodness!!!Isen't that black princess and green taro in there?Do you do waterlily hybridization too?Do you start them from seed? How do I keep from killing my tropicals over the winter?
CrestedChik Email me at home about the waterlilies. No I don't hybridize these...although the giant water lily has to be grown from seed the others I order from Florida. The taros are Imperial taro and Black magic taro. They both grow like crazy in the pool..I have to keep taking off the pups everyso often or they get all over the place! :-)
You'd have to have a huge pond for those plants. Such an unusual looking texture on that leave.
EW!LAA~LAA! Very nice. WOW! I couldn;t fit ONE leaf of that monster in mine
