Perlmutt is much prettier as this picture shows. I dont know why the breeder named the plant Perlmutt. It has to do with mother of the pearl or oyster.
A picture of Perlmutt
that is stunning.
She reminds me of Ecuador pink. Very pretty.
very beautiful.
I love that, what does the name mean?
Beautiful~
Monika, What cross is Perlmutt from? I am partial to shades of pink and I don't care whether or not they are doubles. Actually, I like the singles more as I do with the hibiscus flower.
Brugnanny..I'm with you..something more exotic with the singles..like a couple of doubles..but not my first choice. :-)
Monika, how does this one vary from Pink beauty or Butterfly??
I'd love to see inside the bell. See, no technical term here. "Bell?" :-)
Monika, every picture you have posted has just been gorgeous. I hope you don't run out of pictures. I look forward each day to seeing something new posted. Your pictures are unique since we are unable to have these brugs at this point in time, but I have to say that most of the members here have some great looking brugs too and I enjoy looking at all of their pictures too. It will be interesting to see what we all have purchased or hybridized this last year that will bloom for us this summer. Can't wait!!

I just love the darker pinks and this one is a real beauty.
The shape of the flower differs much from Butterfly and Pink Beauty. The latter have more aurea like nodding flowers, Perlmutt has almost hanging, more funnel- than a trumpet- shaped flowers. The name has something to do with the inner wall of a oyster. I dont know why the breeder gave such a name to this hybrid.
