when to transplant?

I have 5 rootings from tiG. They did well for awhile but have stopped growing now, probably because they are in quart pots. When should I transplant them? We're having a horribly cold March here in NC after a warm February. We never even made it up to freezing today. Also, what size pot should I use for their first step up?

woodspirit.... I start all my cutting in 4" pots endless there big cuttings I wait until I see roots comming out the bottom maybe the cold slowed down there growth

Thanks, Pete. But what size pot should I go up to next? I do not have a greenhouse and these are inside a mansion where I work, which has a wide windowsill for plants on the landing between the 1st and 2nd floors.

at least a gallon, that should hold them until spring

LOL!! no, you did right asking here! you really don't have to move them up if they aren't wilting everyday, they would make it. Remember Tim kept his in 4" pots almost all summer last year? But if you have the time, pots and soil, they'd love you for it:) Of course, if you have 5 gallon, plenty of room and soil and time, them move them all the way up!

WS, the bigger pot you in the better. most kinds grow very fast, if you put one in a gallon bucket and another in a five gallon bucket, you'll see the difference in growth in a month or less. i use time released fertilizer, will be leached out according to temps, and schultz transplant solution when i transplant the "special" ones.
