Where have your brugmansia's taken over in your home?
My cuttings first started in a bright sunny niche between my kitchen and my greenhouse room. The collection of cuttings expanded to growing seeds.
The seedlings are lined up on tables in the master bedroom and bathroom which face south with additional lights in the evening time. This is the only location left as I also have the kitchen and sunroom full of other plants and seedlings patiently waiting for Spring.
I still have seeds under growlights in the kitchen niche waiting to sprout. Heaven only knows where these ones will go when sprouted.
I managed to kill the first seeds that I received from Calalily :-( Calalily was good enough to provide me with propagating techniques for Brugmansia and I've since improved.
Owen shared seeds with me and all of the Isabella crosses that Eric created have sprouted. I followed Eric's advice and potted them up into 2 gallon pots.
Gwist's suaveolens are now sprouted and at the second leaf stage.
Snowhermit kindly sent me seeds and 4 of the LBJ hybrids have sprouted and one of the pinks (? Frosty Pink cross). A few that were labeled "mixed Brugman's seeds" are now sprouting.
I have Shirley's Tragedy, some seeds from Tonny that were also sent. I now have those seeds under lights.
Come Spring all of my seedlings are going into 5 gallon pots as per Monika's planting method.

P.S. The Galanthus (Snowdrops) are now blooming in the garden.
Brugs growing everywhere
Joydie, I sent you some more seeds. You should have good luck with these.
Joyce,
I hope you have luck with the Tragedy seeds. I tried some a couple of months ago, and nothing. Remember, those seeds were picked pre-mature and are well over a year old. I told Owen that they probably would not germinate. Hope he told you not to get too excited over them. Let me know if you get any to grow.
((((Calalily)))
I can hardly wait until they arrive. Thanks ever so much. I know I won't make the beginnger's mistake of overwatering this time.
I dream about brugs (time spent reading the posts here and drooling over the pictures of brugs. I've arranged my brug pots in my mind as to how they will look in the garden at least a dozen times.
I've even started a journal log of what types of crosses I can make when I get my first flowers. I'll certainly be posting for pollen if I don't have the necessary plants for crosses. :-D
Brugie,
I gave them a 2 days soak as I realized they were old seeds. They have not been planted long, but if any come up I will certainly holler to you and let you know. If Cala can get immature seeds to sprout than its worth a try at least.
Joydie
