they are neat looking flowers, year before last my plant was 6-7 feet, not so big last year. they root easily in water, make good flowers for vases.

arlene, I tried rooting new growth in water, didn't work. Woody or semi-woody? or did you use new growth? I'd love to start more of this.

tiG, has yours bloomed? If so, any tips? Mine is growing great guns in my Florida room and even looked like it had buds, but never bloomed. Brenda

no, I just got it in the fall, just spent the winter trying to keep it going. I did see Jackies bloom in her greenhouse though and it's stunning!! better than the pictures!

I have this, mine bloomed up till Christmas (out in the greenhouse). I tried to root the tip growth before they died of in water to but with no luck. Just turned brown and died. Tried rooting some in dirt, that didn't work either. Now I have new branches all over the place, just wondering if anyone might have any other ideas.

I root mine in water also and they root very quickly. A little heat on the bottom helps too, but will root without it. Have had fairly good luck rooting in soil with it just sitting in a west window. Do you guys keep yours cut back at all during the summer? Mine got pretty top heavy when the bloom buds formed. It was pretty, but I think I'm going to try cutting it back to see if I can keep it in bounds. Just grew it in a pot outside. Maybe in ground would be better too.

I Have been trying to get a rooted piece of this since last fall. If anyone has a rooted piece they can spare for a newbie I would surely appreciate it.

I would love to get a few cuttings rooted or not. Mine froze in our unusual winter. If anyone has extras to trade please email me for my list.
