Hey Jim, so did I just the other day, and it is just sitting there, I think I read that you mix a couple of drops to a gallon of water and spray on plants, water plants etc.
Wait to see what kind of advice the experts give us as I dont trust my memory.

I try to get 2 drops, always get a tad more, but hasn't hurt anything.

I did accidentally mix it way too strong and it burned a leaf (it was half water and half tea tree oil)I should have washed it off, but didn't. It didn't kill the plant, only burned the newest leaves.

Thanks everyone. Yeah Crestedchic I looked two days for the posting and finally gave up. I remember the post and I asked in the post where to buy it and tiG answered at Walmart. I looked and looked and couldn't find the post. Now another question is about safer soap. I finally found that also. Do you wash the brugs with safer soap and then wash it off and spray with tea tree oil or what. I know I sound stupid and that was the reason I spent two days looking for the other post. I finally said I'm stupid for doing all this searching when all these friends at Dave's is overflowing with knowledge and will share that knowledge.
I hope anyway. Exactly what does the tea tree oil do for the plant?? Thanks again for everyones help. Jim

Tea-tree oil is an antibacterial antifungal natural oil. It's also got something in it that kills insects, probably the oil.(or the smell) I use it to water in seeds or cuttings and rarely ever have a problem with fungus gnats or damping off. I've used it to kill mealy bugs, aphids and spicer mites. I just put an eighth teaspoon in a gallon, but have begun to just pour some in lately and seems to work good too. A drop of Safer's Soap helps disperse the oil if needed, but it seems to do so on it's own. Hope this helps. BTW, DON'T mix it in anything styrofoam, it will react with it and smell terrible.

Thanks Cala, I knew I could count on you. I have some that have something eating the leaves. I noticed that one of the brugs had a pattern or a spot that you could actually see if you looked straight down on the leaves. I sure don't want to lose them now. I can't wait to see the jutner orange that you sent me in the yard. I have been feeding them twice weekly. Once with Miracle grow and then with fish emulsion. I don't water the dirt to heavy but I give the leaves a good wetting of each during daylight hours. They sure seemed to really pick up when I gave them the fish. Thanks again.

GRC, you might have snails or slugs that are eating on them. I've had a problem with the seedlings setting on the floor getting bites out of the leaves. Diatomaceous earth or neem will work on the snails/slugs.

That's what we thought it was. I had them in front of the door that goes on to the patio and they were on the floor. I'll be off work tomorrow and intend repotting and I'll give them a dose of the oil and soap and move them back up stairs in front of another window that hopefully won't have snails. In the dining room area. Thanks Cala
