Honi, you can take a leaf off at the base, root it in water or loose soil. I wouldn't cut it for propagating, as you will sacrifice the shape of the mother plant needlessly. Just go right down to the soil and take a leaf off where it curves into the main root. There will be a little bit of white at that part. The roots will form right in the white. You can also lay a leaf onto soil with good contact, keep it just moist, and roots will form. You will see a new set of leaves beginning to form, and the original leaf will rot away. You can cut it away when the new plant has a couple of leaves. Once established, sans prefer not to be kept too moist. In fact, if they are grown in low light, they will do best if kept on the dry side.

Aimee,
Thanks for the info. I don't want to to grow any more I want to get rid of some and was wondering if I could cut them to send out. Guess that is not a good idea though.
