lilies from jackson & perkins

hi, i'm thinking of ordering the bulk lilies, asiatic and orientals, from jackson and perkins. has anyone ever ordered these from them?

its either 50 oriental bulbs for $39.95 or
100 asiatic and 50 orientals for $69.95

Have you checked the Garden Watchdog?

Debi - do you have a Home Depot near you? I know I've seen bags of lily bulbs there before. In fact, my first lilies were a bag of 30 bulbs from Wal-mart. I'd see if I could find some locally first. If you're just after a mix I bet you'll be able to find some.

I'm not knckin J&P because I've never bought from them but I've always thought the plants in their catalogs are expensive. I'd check some other places too. Gilbert & Wild has a nice selection of lilies - named varieties and you can also get mixes. Send for their catalog and you will get sale fliers when they come out. Their prices are good & the lilies are good sized bulbs. Van Englen Inc. is another place I'd check out. They sell large quantities of bulbs at cheaper prices.

Walmart & Home Depot sells 3 bulbs for $2.27 per bag. variety of 5 bulbs for $3.97. i bought oriental & asiatic lilies recently. i have not seen the 20 bulbs bag this year.

last year i bought the 20 bulbs variety for $4.98 at Home Depot. they bloomed for me last summer i got Casablanca, Muscadets and Yellow Elegance oriental lilies in that package. Poppiesue is right! hope that helps.... ma vie

I wanted to get that same deal from jackson perkins-i will have to check at walmart first-could we co-op for lilies?
