I was at my S-I-L last night and she made this and I thought
ya'll may enjoy it. You can adjust it to fit your needs.
She took 2 pot roasts (chuck) and put them in a skillet
with alittle oil then salt and peppered. Cooked the roast
until almost burned on the both sides. In a large roasting
pan she put 4 packs of Au Jus and 2 packs of hidden valley
italian seasonings mix well. After the roast was nice and
brown she place in roasting pan poored remaining juice in
put some water in the skillet and got all the remaining
goodies off the bottom and poured in the roasting pan and
added about 1 1/2 to 2 cups water. Placed in preheated
oven of 400 degrees and cooked at this temp for 2 hours
then lowered to 325 for 30 mins until falling apart.
Then you get you some Italian rolls or what ever kind
you prefer put some butter on them toast them in oven
then put your italian roast and some pepper rings or
which ever kind you like and enjoy man was it wonderful
alot better then the ones for our local rest. Hope I done
a good job explaining this for everyone if not post and I
will try to answer you question.
