tiny P&C cuttings

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

I took these tip cuttings of Peaches and Cream with a razor. I trimmed off all except the two newest leaves to keep them from causing a fungus problem. I wanted to try several varieties.

Suzie, will you put them in water and then root, or will you put them in rooting medium now? Can you get a plant from such a small cutting? Will they need to be kept on a heat mat? Veeeeerrrrryyyy intesting.

Roz, I've got them in sand, with liquid fungicide, water and plant growth hormone. I wanted to use agar, but didn't have any on hand. I will give them some nutrients when they callus. I've done cuttings that were twice this size and they rooted, just wanted to see how small I could go. I want to eventually try tissue culturing some, but thought this was tiny enough for now.
