These were picked just before our first freeze.
mixed species seeds from hybrids I created
Are those dry Eric? I forgot when you had your first freeze.
Eric, it sort of looks like a brain!! A brug brain. You sure have a bunch of seeds!! Hope you planted them and didn't throw them away.
Those are actually slated for the garbage and are dry. Pollen donors were mostly versicolors on this last one.
Oh Eric - don't trash em! Send them to one of us to distribute. Lots a people would want them.
okay brugman, can i take the challenge and send you an sase? i figured out how to start seeds....just throw them.... am still wondering about my almost 50 seeds that have come up that i just threw down, thought they were either immature or frozen (opened the pod and gooy)....
Eric, I LOVE versicolors, don't toss them.
Yes, Eric, please don't toss them.....Cala and i are warriors, we'll take them and let them grow! (as many as will)!!!!!!!!!! stick them in a paper bag for us, okay?
Please don't toss them.
Most of my vericolor seeds are already promised to Tonny....these are mixed species crosses crossed to versicolors so besides being mixed...they come from a mixed gene pool as well. All the parents from this one though had extremely fat/wide seed pods and length of about 9 inches...ie 1-2 inches in diameter. I imagine the seedlings themself will have much narrower and longer seedpods being crossed to versicolors though...if anyone wants them or wants to distribute them though just to see what comes of them your welcome to them if you will give a few out as well.
Eric, I'm willing to pass them along and I'm sure Arlene is too, she sure shared a bunch of the others.
The main thing to me, Brugman, is even if you don't think they are ripe, i am stubborn and have caught this awful disease from you without progressing past the newness yet.....someone's gotta try those seeds!!!! can't just discard them. i'm gonna hire in that tractor, get my brug rows ready, decided last night.
Please OH PPLLLEEEAAASSSEEEE don't trash them!!!I love versicolors too!!!!!
Eric, I would like to try a few if you don't mind. Just curious how they will turn out.
Could I have a few also? Haven't tried planting seeds yet but would love to try. I will spread them all over the panhandle!

Eric,
Since both Jeanne and Liz are on the far west coast I'll distribute seeds to brug growers in Ontario. There are about 6-8 of us here. I would love to try more seeds and OrphanAnnie and Starzz are not online very often these days. OrphanAnnie is taking night classes and working full time. There is a fellow in Burlington, another in Hamilton and a couple in the surrounding area.
Let me know where to send a SASE and thanks.
Joydie
Eric, I would love to try my hand at some seeds. If there are enough to go around. I would like the others to keep me in mind. Thanks you to all
Carol
Okay, I will divide this bag into many different divisions and send a few batches out to the first people that email me with their address as I have got way too many emails asking for these seeds. Sorry to change this so soon, but I don't want to let these seeds get too much older as they are already a few months old. A dear friend pointed out that it would be much quicker to send out more batches out myself and then everyone could send out seeds from their own batches if they so wished. I know, I am about as fickle as they come. I would still like it if members who recieved their batches of seed would send on any surplus they were not going to grow to other members...in theory...simply forming a larger pyramid base....
