Will you have extra mint plants?

Belfield, ND(Zone 4a)

If any of you have extra mint plants this spring, would you be willing to dig me a little portion and send it to me for the cost of priority postage? I just started gardening last year, so I don't really have any plants to trade, but I would love to give the mints another try. I got cuttings last year, but couldn't make them live, so would like to try any baby plants you might have that are growing in the wrong place. I'm especially interested in chocolate, pineapple, orange, apple and spearmint, but would love to try others too if you have some that need a new home. I have lots of room for them. I have a growlight system, so I can keep them there until I can plant them outside too. Whenever they would be ready, please if you have any extra, just let me know where to send postage and how much. I love mint tea, and would love to grow my own.
Thanks in advance if you can help me.

I have some growing under light in the basement. I'll see what I can do once they get a bit bigger as far as sending you some :)

Guess I should add that you'll have to remind me.........LOL. My memory doesn't work so well, you know :)

I will Susan. Thanks. The only one I got to grow for awhile last year was the chocolate mint, but maybe it was my own fault it died, as I think I ate too many of it's leaves. I won't do that again.

LOL Joan, you're too funny.........you have to let them multiply a bit before you eat them all........LOL

just remind me again about them so I won't forget :)

yeah, I think I figured that out, but I just couldn't help myself. They are so tasty. LOL! Learned my lesson though. Gotta let the baby grow some first. I'd suck on a leaf the whole time I was in the garden. MMMM! Like a peppermint patty without the calories.

Joan: Sounds like you need lots of chocolate mint, I can send you a box with chocolate, peppermint, spearmint and orange mint, in May when it is up and growing.

Oh Debby, that would be so wonderful. Sending you an email.

Joan: You have to have some Licorice Mint {Anise Hyssop]it smells wonderful and makes a great tea. Even if it doesn't over-winter in your zone, it will reseed itself, for the next year. I can send some with the mints. Sounds like your going to have a great smelling summer. All of us will get you going on an Aromatic Herb Garden.

Oh Debby! Like black licorice? I love black licorice, even though it stains my teeth. LOL! That would be wonderful! And, if it doesn't overwinter, but reseeds, that's great too. Maybe by next fall I'll learn how to get mints growing from cuttings and can bring some inside, or dig up a little patch of it to keep over. I'd even keep the growlights going all winter to be able to grow some of these for fresh eating and tea if that's what it takes. I'm in heaven, thinking about the great mint garden I'm going to have, thanks to all of you who are so generously helping me out.

Love all of you,
Joan
