Here is one of my versicolor pods with it's Compeed patch. These are water proof, but let air in. I did have one pod that got a bad spot, I think because I couldn't quit pulling the patch off and looking. It's healing over and I put New Skin on it.
patched pods
LOL Cala. It looks like a giant white snail attached to the pod.
You are a one of a kind Cala. I mean that, I don't know where you found that inovative mind, but its scaring me. I can see you trying to put that stuff on some aurea x arborea you are trying to fuse through protoplast fusion...applying a bit of new skin to the cell wall with your microscope....lol. Wheew weee. I admit I have the same desire to open up a seedpod a few weeks early myself if its a good cross. Just keep chanting...I will let them grow. I will let them grow.
Calla,I can see the inspectors comin in and questioning just what kinda virus you got there....LOL.Its good to know it works, will it work for grafting?
CC, I bet it would. It's waxy and can be wrapped around the stem. It's available in several shapes and sizes.
Eric, I love to experiment. Now there is a good idea for the protoplast fusion. Hmm, wonder if the New Skin would affect the embryo?
Please explain what you are doing???
Shes casting her pods that she couldn't wait to pinch....
