flore plena Troika, double to triple flowers

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

Troika is a seedling of 1997 with its first flower in 1998.
It came up in 2000 with a serious fault: a to narrow calyx
prevents a normal development of the fillings. I use Troika now for breeding purposes only. Being out of the Charleston x Rothkirch cross, she should do very good with EP or L'Amour.

Pretty flower..looks like a good choice for a back crossing..

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

Monika, have you ever tried to breed a variegated double?

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

This is almost impossible. Variegated seedlings die shortly after germination. Their leaves have no chlorophyll.

Monika I have had the same problem with variegated datura seeds..they all grow totally white and die shortly after germination.

Bodrum, Turkey(Zone 10a)

Another breath taking flower

Monika,Why L'amour and not Rothkirch.Just wondering as I love both of these hybrids and would have a hard time not using both myself in this instance.
