Need brug help!

(Zone 8a)

I took a pic of my brug leaves and hope someone can tell me why they are looking sick and falling off... I brought them in from the unheated greenhouse because it was going to get cold...did they just go into shock?
I put them out in the sun today as it is warm today.

Could they be too wet or dry?

I did notice some white flies and red mites on them!

Cheers!

Rebecca,
The impression I get from the light brown marks on your leaf is, that the leaf is healthy enough. However it looks as a leaf growing in the shade, that got its damage from exposure to strong sunlight in combination with tiny waterdrops on it. I have seen similar leaves on the Brugs I grow, when they have been inside for the winter and then puts them outside and the sun gets them burned.

Thanks Tonny but the leaves were doing this before I put them outside today and now on another one a leaf is shriveling and drying on the tip...

I really think it is something else!

Any suggestions anyone?

White flies and mites will definitely cause leaf drop. Usually whiteflies will bite the leaves and they will become a little distorted. May be other signs too. I'd just give them a good washing and spray with some insecticide and keep up the spraying program. They will probably be just fine.

I agree, they look like they've been eaten on by slugs or snails(I have LOTS of experience with those). The yellow leaf is caused by first the cold, and second it has a nitrogen defficiency. I meant to take a photo. I have some brug cuttings(rooted) that I forgot about. They hardly got any water, were very cool (40-45*F) and no fertilize at all. When I moved them in beside the warm well fed ones, I couldn't believe the differences. The leaves on the defficient ones were so yellow, what leaves they had, lol. Lack of water, spider mites and whitefly if the infestation is severe enough will make the leaves fall off. Cool temps will too.
