Brewers, KY(Zone 6b)

Morning folks. A cloudy morning this a.m. around 62* here.

Jewel, I do hope your dd is on her toes and being very careful.

Okay yall, it is my turn I need to vent. We live down a less than traveled shell road. People ( I use the term loose)seem to think that we need their unwanted trash and animals. I have rescued countless animals and picked up my share of trash dropped off here. I don't know what drives folks to do that because I don't go into their neck of the woods and drop my trash off there. Roofing material seems to be a fine choice of trash drops. This time I am MAD! There was a yellow pet taxi thrown out near the edge of the woods. I saw it there on Monday and should have stopped to look, but I just thought someone unloaded more junk (there were several other items tossed out as well. This morning, on my way to the vets office, I noticed that the taxi had been tampered with. It looked as if something tried to get in it. It then hit me, I figured an animal was trying to get in the taxi. There was a sickening feeling in my heart. I just knew that an animal was placed in that taxi and left to die. Feeling very guilty because I didn't check it out when I first saw it, I parked the van and went take a look. Sure enough a small animal was in there, badly decomposed. It looked as if it was left there to die by the way it was laying in the taxi. I was sick. To make matters worse, it had a collar around it's neck with a pet liscense on it. I didn't want to look at the body any longer because I was very upset and Sally was in the van watching me. I called the police, they came out to take a look. I don't know what will become of this, I hope they can find out something. They are supposed to call me back and let me know.
Sorry, hope I didn't get too long winded here, but I just needed to vent....blessings, Lisa

While I was posting this the vets office called me. I am friends with everyone who works there, they know me well. I just left their office an hour ago. THe police were there as we were speaking. It seems the license on the dead animal was traced to my vets office. The animal was a reg. miniture doberman pup.
