Happy Valentines Day!

Good evening all! Nothing special here - just farming as usual. I told dh he should get a new gas gauge for his pickup. It hasn't been working for 2 years but he keeps putting it off because of $$$. Well guess what? He ran out of gas last night one his way home from checking cows. Luckily he was close to a place of people he knew and they let him call me. He said these people still had an old dial phone.

Our green egg laying chickens have been laying up a storm. Finding them all over the barns. I did notice our chicken population is growing again. I think this is a sign that the coyote population is down. Dh has some friends who are professional trappers. They checked in 10 bobcats today to the Game and Parks Commission. They caught them about 15 miles south of us.

I've really been tired today - keep dozing off in front of the computer today and no ambition. I couldn't even force myself to go to Lincoln today to drop off a valentines gift for her. I had found a cute stuffed cow with a matching mug.

I called her last night and "nagged" her about being careful. There has been a whacko that has been following single women. He flashes his lights and/or bumps into the back of them and then when the women stop to see what is going on, he assaults them. This has been occuring mostly in rural areas.

Well I guess I will go help dh do chores tonight. You all take care.
