Mme Blin has created many beautiful hybrids. The Rothkirch - daughter Rosalie is one of them. I have several seed pods on Rosalie, pollinated with Ecuador Pink. Hope there will be enough seeds............
Picture of the uncomparable Rosalie in honor to Mme Blin
Monika, that is gorgeous, when can we get seeds??
Gloria
Real pretty brug, Monika.
I do like the darker color brugs best very pretty
Rosalie has several sisters: Rosie, Rosabelle, Rosamond, Rosalind, Rosenrot, Cinderella, Esperanza, Rübezahl, Flaminia. But none has the bright color of Rosalie.
I will tell Rosalie to make big seed pods. I sometimes talk to my plants when I think, its necessary!!!
Raffaela is a beauty but Adora is the best with a length of 38cm and long lasting flowers. Dr. Preissel asked for a cutting of Adora to send it to a 'friend' in California!!!
I talk to mine too *lol* I Learned it in 1994 from Ernesto from Mexico D.F. By him it is an old Tarahumara-ritual to do so, but there is a tradition in every culture for that and the plants love the attention, - provided off cause, that it is not chit-chat, but has a purpose *lol* So tell her, Monika :)
Monika,
It's a real beauty.
Very pretty brug Monika. If it means talking to them to get colors like that, I'm going to get pretty darn chatty.
Monika, it is so pretty. last fall i emailed Anne Kirchner about buying brugs from her. Rosalie was one of them. I guess i am glad now it didn't working out, after hearing about them from you. got cold feet, wondering if they would even root or be able to be rooted, some are harder than others, and she put it on "me" if something went wrong. Thanks for sharing, hope you have tons more pics to share, they are gorgeous.
Simply beautiful! Not long ago all I wanted was a pink - any pink. Now I want THAT PINK!.
I'm curious - (a bad habit) did your cutting go to California???
beautiful, no words left that everyone else didn't use. Oh, did anyone say stunning?
That is gorgeous. Beautiful color. I see Rosalie is on LBJ's "off' list. I wonder why that is.
I can't hardly see just one seedpod being enough of that cross. I am still dreaming of Rothkirch, but that one is stunning as well. Ahh, I can't wait to see what your seedlings bring you from that cross.
It's beautiful!!
Monika....very stunning..I always was a sucker for pink brugs!Hope you get many seeds.
To pretty for words!!!
Very beautiful so great color so lovely~
OH MY !!!I love that,the color is so deep,and beautiful,gotta get a importers lisence.NOW
CC, just call the USDA in your state. It's free for personal import and they will help you fill out all the other paperwork that is necessary.
Thats what I needed,I called the DEC(department of enviromental conservation) and they had no clue what I was talking about, thanks Calla
that is splendid, I love the color.
Cala, are you saying it is free? no phyto? ?
I'd willingly pay the phyto, but then I heard Barbara's nightmare, and I can't afford to lose that much money :(
Arlene, you have to have a phyto from the country they are coming from and the price varies. The IMPORT permit is free. The price of the phyto is applied to the order and comes from the company where you are ordering.
Talk very kind words indeed. I can't stand it anymore...If I continue to look at these pictures I am going to explode with envy.
