Sorry about this being off topic, but I had to share with everyone here that Gabby-goat had her baby! I'm so happy! I haven't had much time to post between reading all the incredible new information being posted here and running to the barn to see if Gabby had her baby yet. And he's here! Ain't he cute?! They're miniature goats so he's tiny for a goat, but big and healthy for a mini. :-) :-) :-) Now to find a name for him... Ecuador? Suaveoly? Jutner White? LOL! My mind's somewhere else lately, so maybe I ought to leave the naming to Kenny. ;-)
Off topic - new baby!
That is so cute .
Wingnut, He is absolutely adorable. I miss my mini goats so much. We lost one to a bear and found new homes for the other three. Too much wildlife here to have outside animals. You're little guy looks so huggable.
They are so cute. Congratulations. Use that goat manure in your flowerbeds!!
I've always wanted a couple of fainting goats. They are so cute and I think your baby is a great looking kid.
S.
So sweet.
Thanks, y'all! You betcha' I'm gonna' use that poop on the beds! Daddy is a black billy with a slightly gray nose and the whole family hangs around with a mustang horse (mama and baby are separated for now).
I've been out there off and on all day handling him. He'll already run up to me. :-) This is Gabby's first baby and she's a wonderful mama! Trusts me a lot with him, too.
I wonder if "poop" will show up blue? It's a word that needs a link, isn't it? ;-)
LOL - wingnut! Since goats supposedly eat EVERYTHING... do they eat brugs? Just curious. That's an adorable baby. Gabby should be a proud Mama.
So sweet, Wingnut :) Ruth`s brother in Karlslunde keeps small goats too, but it has been some time now, since they god kids.
You could give it a Brug name *lol*
What have both Brugs and goats in common?
- we love them! Both has horns and our spouses get this funny look in their faces, when we start bringing any of them into our bedrooms.
Yeah, baby goats don't know what they can and can't eat like the mommas do. We used to raise them when I was a teen-ager.
Wingnut.....they be sooooo cute...a little smelly..BUT SOOOO CUTE!!!!LOL
LOL, Tonny! Kenny's the real softie out of us two. When we were living in our barn house that we're now remodeling, he had his horse trained to stick his head in the kitchen door for an apple! *grin*
Oh, Snowhermit! That's awful! We don't have bears, but have to watch out for neighbor dogs. Our three big lab mix dogs keep strays away for the most part, but I still have mama and baby goat locked in the barn at night. And the mustang won't hesitate to kick the $%#t out of a dog. Even our dogs know about that. Tee-hee!
Yep, goats'll eat anything, just about. We keep an eye out for what kind of things grow in the pens/pastures and put up good fences (we're slowly rebuilding all the old ones). It's not just for their safety, but mine as well ~ Mom would KILL me if she saw one of my goats atop her Lincoln Continental. Wouldn't think twice about having given birth to me. Nope.
Yeah, Eclipse, baby be one of da smelly ones when he gets bigger! The mini goats aren't too bad ~ nothing like Spanish goats. But a billy-is-a-billy-is-a-billy. PEWWWEEEEE and pass the closepins!
He's sooo cute!Congrats grandma!
