Mottled leaves all year

I had two small tip cuttings of Whiskers that were under a lot of stress when I got them. I've babied them all winter and the leaves looked just like these. Today, they went into the trash to be burned. I'd rather not take a chance and would rather not have my other brugs infected. I sure didn't want to toss them, but I'll get another one later.

I hope I was right to toss them.

These pictures are great! Now we know what exactly we are suppose to see in a virus infected plant that is actually show signs of the virus.Brugie,as bad as you feel about it,better safe than sorry and I'm sure they can be replaced.

You did right Brugie. Sensitive Brugmansias show signs if infection, when under stress. But it does not always has to be the Potyvirus. It could be any other virus common in plants in your surrounding. But plants with signs like shown should go into the garbage can.

Thanks Monika. It is hard to throw them away, but I have too much invested to let it transfer to the others. I'm so glad you posted the pictures so we can all be watching out for problems.
