Fayette, MO(Zone 6a)

A Blustery Day here. I was surprised the cattle and sheep were all up by the house and not hiding in the valleys out of the wind. It isn't so terribly cold, about 37 F., but still.
I went to visit my good friends by myself last evening as Hubby is getting over his cold. When I got home late I went to check my ewes. Guess when I came in the house I didn't shut the door on the porch very well and the wind just knocked it around all night. I guess I didn't hear it cause everything else rattles in this old house. I have all my plants on that porch. Guess the little heater worked it's heart out last night and nothing froze. I was so relieved. Funny thing was my best buddy hit me up for begonia starts. I had given her Daughter-in-Law starts and she wants some. Her DIL is doing wonderfully with them. It would have been terrible for them to freeze. Some of them I know I've had over 25 years. My friend is very generous with her flowers and bulbs so I want to make sure she gets a nice start.
I should go and get busy here.
