How was Your Day?

Troy, VA(Zone 7a)

The other forums were getting long and taking an age to change so I have opened up a new one. Come on in everyone and welcome.

That better, well did you wave the flag today then ?.

Troy, VA(Zone 7a)

Ha-Ha! I sure did. You know something it's true isn't it, that it's the details that are so important. I had changed the look of the front porch. Instead of having arches along the whole of the front I omitted the middle arch which would have spanned 11 feet over the steps to the porch. By eliminating it, the house looks so much nicer. In fact, I am so happy with it. Then they had put a door in the 2nd bathroom which opened smack dab into the vanity unit. Well, I went nuts almost. So they moved it to the other side of the room and it is so much better - there was tons of space there.

the bull dog bites again, lol good for you, i am glad you got your smile back.

I can't tell you everything about the house but when it's finished I will post a picture. How is your toe? What did you do today Patty? I have finally chosen EVERYTHING for the house now, so can relax. Relax! That's a laugh, with a sick cat and packing to do. We await the results of the culture test tomorrow to see whether Brandy has anything else wrong with him. I said a prayer to St Francis last night and I slept like a baby - or was it emotion exhaustion :-)

Louisa i have to say, that my toe is fine, i cant feel anything at all, and i told you what they did, at one point i thought they had stragled it to much and killed it, lol, but no its just brilliant, the first time in 18 months it hasnt hurt, i look forward to seeing the pics of your new house, sounds good, is it strange going from brick to wood ?.

Patty we all have our crosses to bear, but some have it harder than others. I was knocked off line just now and couldn't get back to Daves. But it seems everything is OK now. I would like to have a greenhouse and maybe I will when we move.

So what happened then, do we know, but we are back

Troy, VA(Zone 7a)

Well, I guess they let you use theirs eh? I suppose glass is not used in greenhouses over here because of the winds etc. Am I right? Patty, did I ask you which state you were in? If I did, forgive me for asking again :-)

Ha, that is what i was asking when it chucked us out, great minds or what.

Good night Alan.

Patty he had an ingrown toenail removed. I know it was killing him at one time but he seems to be OK now. Don't you find that you build up a mental picture of what a person looks like or how old they are on these websites, to find out that you are completely wrong? I have always got on better with people who were older than I, because I love them so much. They are more tranquil, laid back and full of a zest for life.

LOL Patty that's a very good idea. Lets hope you have a more congenial builder than I have. Actually it's the builder's wife that I have to deal with - we never get to see the actual builder (he's excellent, but elusive). She is a nasty piece of stuff. Has no idea how to speak to clients, very patronising and rude. But, I am not your take it or leave it kind of client. I am not stupid, I have a certain amount of intelligence and she is used to bullying people, so we clash because I won't let her bully me. I am also a bit of a perfectionist and will not settle for her norm.

Hello Daisy! Up bright and early this morning!! It's our morning here. And an extremely damp one it is. Well, no gardening today anyway as I've my classes later today. So it can rain all it wants today. Thank you for your kind offer of hardy annuals. I think I have enough at the moment. I want to dig some more beds when the spring weather comes. I'm also planning to dig out another section of the garden in the autumn and remove the roses from it. It's a slow process.

hello daisy chain, these little chats normaly take place in our early hours, it was about 2.30 am this morning, if you can stay up that late come and join in, you would be welcombed.

Patty, Louisa got the whole graphic story of my toe, lol, put her off a bit i think, but i told it with good humor i think.

Louisa, come on then, lets here how your mental picture hold up, see if if you got close.

Morning all!! The sun is shining, whooooooooopee!!!! But...it might rain later on!! However, come next Saturday we are going to start climbing into the 60s. It won't be long before we start to bemoan the heat. We are never satisfied eh?

Patty, I think you might be early 30s, slim and fair headed. Lisa on the other hand, has dark curly hair and maybe in her 20s. Daisy Chain, even younger with fair, short hair. Alan, dark hair, we know he's 40, not slim but not heavy either. Diane, not getting much on this. Maybe fair hair, short, 28ish!! How am I doing?

Ha-Ha yourself!!! I never did say I was clairvoyant - but what a giggle eh? Going to do what you suggested, start entering the date and responding to that :-)

Louisa, i think its safe to say, you were pretty close to me,5-8, 12-7, dark hair, medium build. and a big smile.

I think Diane is older than 28, i put her in low fiftys.

Daisy-chain i think about twenty five

patty wouldnt tell us even if were right, lol, but i say 36.

Hi! I'm late 40s, with dark brown eyes and chestnut hair, medium length. I used to be described as petite. I'm single but not from lack of offers!! I have a good speaking voice and an attractive laugh. I also have a clear skin and an attractive smile. Definitely older than Louisa's impression of me but a fraction younger than Alan's!! He must think I sound motherly!!! I'll have to stop offering cups of tea...
Of course because it's the Internet you can picture an alternative me. I always fancied being a redhead. Naturally wavy. I'll keep the voice, laugh, complexion and the smile. A few curves are fine but a few inches taller if you please!! I don't want to be a teenager. Mid-thirties would be just great. Is that better?
