have lost track of future trades

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

if we made arrangements for a future swap, please let me know, have lost track...am thinking someone had maya and tropical sunset i was going to trade for, some others too....

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

I told you when I got tropical sunset, and it was big enough, I'd send you a cutting. I may have Maya too. It is one of those variegated that hasn't really been ID'ed for me yet. If I am to send you anything else, maybe something will jog my mind one of these days or if you think of it, let me know.

You were going to send me one of everything.....(*grin*)

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

Ms Batt, i was going to say "i know i owe Ms Batt and JJS". almost all my stuff got frosted. fortunately almost everything is growing back already. you have mail...

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

Ms Brugie, i appreciate the offer, but i have an itch, would like to get at least maya right away!!!!!

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

I know what you mean. I know I could have waited on some that I ordered because some of you already have them, but I guess I'm impatient for those first blooms and just went ahead and ordered. I only hope that at some point I'll have something that you all want or need.

Bodrum, Turkey(Zone 10a)

Arlene, weren't you going to send me one of everything too???

(No, you weren't)

I soaked your brug seeds yesterday, I have a question for you though, about half of them sank to the bottom, and the other half are floating on top, shall i plant the seeds that have sunk? or the ones that haven't?
and shall I peel them?

thanks

Pebble
Plant them all. It doesn't seem to matter if they sink or swim, lol. If you've already soaked them, be careful if you try to peel and don't break open the "bean" that's inside.
Sorry Arlene, I couldn't help myself. I didn't mean to jump in front of you.

thanks Calla, I knew I had seen a thread here about seeds, finally found it (too many detours) and feel confident now in planting them, however the issue of the sink or swim ones wasnt addressed, I'll just plant them all as you suggest and see hwat happens.
I also had gotten another batch of seeds, and there are some black ones, brown ones, taupe ones, tan ones very light ones...they are all corky. any ideas on that? or are they just a mixture of different types. There was no indication on the envelope.

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

thanks, Cala. you have much more experience than me! i wouldn't peel them based on my limited experience, not unless they are really large, then i would peel first. this is what i have decided in the last month. everyone has their own methods though.

Bodrum, Turkey(Zone 10a)

I'll try both and see how they do, thanks for the tips

Pebble, the different colors are normal. They could be different kinds, or some may have been a bit "riper" than the others. Pebble, I don't usually peel my seeds, and the ones I do peel, I do so before soaking.
