irish, i am guessing that is whiskers. CG and JO (didn't i give you cuttings of that) look exactly alike to me.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

that does look like the leaves on my whiskers

Saint Petersburg, FL(Zone 9b)

they are bigger on this one than the one I posted of the bloom
Arlene.. you did give me cuttines of Jo I think and the rest were frost pinks

Pete,
Whiskers does have the serrated leaves but for the life of me I can't remember what CG leaves look like.

Saint Petersburg, FL(Zone 9b)

Glory....I have four brugs that I got from you 2 CG and 2 wiskers and the leaves are close to the same and so are the leaves on my DR. Suess

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

CG leaves look very similar, but not near as large as Whiskers. the points on the leaves are longer too:)

(Zone 6a)

Arlene, tiG, Calalily or anyone.....would any of you have any cuttings to send me for postage this spring? Or a few exotic seeds with parentage? Like Monika, I think it is very important to keep track of parentage.

I am wanting mainly aureas (since they are the most fragrant). Examples:
Guitty, Citronella, Dark Rosetta, Loreley, Lady V, Moraia, Rosabelle, Rosamond, Bu8tterfly, L'Amour.

Concentrating on fragrance now rather than appearance:)

Owen

(Zone 6a)

Any exceptionally fragrant brug.

Gosh, I think a lot of us would like to have some from that list.

You're right Brugie. I see at least five I would like to have.

Ok. Guess I may have to part with some of my moldy money then:)

Owen

Qwen,
I don't have any of the ones you listed...sorry.

Nice variety. Now you need some of those new ones that we can't seem to get hold of. I'm wanting some with intensely deep color. Like that one, L'Amour, that Monika posted a picture of. What a beauty.

Pete,
You don't have the Jessie Noel?

Norwalk, IA(Zone 5b)

oblambert I have a candida cross I call `Heaven Scent" has an almost lemon smell.. very sweet and clear..not musky like Versicolors.

Saint Petersburg, FL(Zone 9b)

Gloria.... no I never had Jessie Noel... I did have a biloxi bell and a old glory that I managed to kill some how not sure how I did it I belive the snails got to them before I could spray for them that work thing keeps getting in the way

I must confess Glory, I love your hybrids.
Becca Lynn is one of my favorites; although, I must confess I have not seen all of your hybrids in bloom.
I do have Citronella, Butterfly, and Rosabella Owen. I won't be giving out anymore cuttings of these though as I am going to be setting seed with them this year. Rosabella will be primarily a pollen donor as it is most difficult for me to set a seedpod on this one, although I have set a seed to it. I will offer some of these seeds to everyone here when they are ripened. I like the idea of more seeds being grown up to maturity and less being culled. I must confess though I still plan on growing enough from the above crosses to have some to select out of the seedling tray based on leaf characteristics. I am also going to try to put arborea pollen to all of my aurea's and aurea pollen to all of my arborea's. I had this dream the other night that if I could get 1000 seedpods to start I could possibly get one seedpod out of that entire batch that might have one seed that might be fertile...heck, thats a lot of mights and the biggest might of all is getting one seedpod at all. Of course if Monika can do it...it gives me hope my Brugmansia can do it. I have already started playing Bach to my plants and offering them bribes of fish emulsion if the produce this cross for me. One hybrid has promised me one seedpod for a full gallon of fish emulsion. I keep telling her it has to be arborea pollen though and that little aurea just laughs at me and looks the other way stating," We'll see." Owen, If I can get any seeds started that are note worthy trust me you and the others here will have access to them. Just talk kindly to those seedlings and play some nice music to them.

FSH, TX

Note:
The above is just a dream and has no basis in actual reality. No one in their right mind could possibly talk their arbora or aurea's into crossing with each other. After all, everyone knows how stubborn they are. Ask them to do one thing and they do another. If it were to become a reality though I imagine it would take more than a mere gallon of fish emulsion and some music...much more likely to take a ton of fish emulsion over a period of years and several years just to get the full 1000 seedpods....but then this Ida girl....she looks like she can put out.

Saint Petersburg, FL(Zone 9b)

Hey you can always try a dinner and a movie has worked for me.....LOL

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

ROFLOL, so glad there's no one else at home, cause I just exploded into laughter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you two are something else!!!!

(Zone 6a)

Eric, I think you have the right idea, dream or not:)

I remember talking to one of my tomato plants a few years ago.....told her she was gonna do herself proud and produce gobs of really large tomatoes. Darned if she didn't do it!

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

Eric,just get'um drunk on Owens cake,they're easy when they're drunk,hic!

Pete,
I'll bring you some cutting of Jessie Noel, Becca Lynn and Old Glory to the plant swap...don't have any of the Biloxi Belle, just the Mother plant and she's not very big since I have been whacking on it. Let me know if you are interested.

Saint Petersburg, FL(Zone 9b)

Yes I am very thanks much
Pete
