Will all the NJ Brug lovers raise your hands and be heard

Bayonne, NJ(Zone 6a)

OK, listen it's got to be the smog in NJ. I gotta find out why my 6' 2-3 year old brug is and has never bloomed. If I can talk to some of you guys maybe you can shed some lite on what in sams hill I'm doing wrong. BTW, I don't know the species or color. The person that sent it to me forgot what the code meant on the bark. LOL...........Why wouldn't I take it..........my mystery dog has one blue eye and one brown.........just love misfits........but the sucker has got me puzzled beyond my wildest.

Yes, I did and have been reading everything everyone has posted.........Yes, I have Senior moments but almost 3 years HELP!

None of my 7 month old ----begged for -- brugs are Y'ing. I won't snip.........that's what I did to the 3 year old this summer and that's why I think it didn't do nothing.

I am so angry there is only 1 brug in this town and it's smaller than mine. Had tons of blooms..........so???????
Grown by a 80 some old man who digs it up and GOSH if he can do why can't I????????

Come on up to the plate you New Jersians and help me out here.

I don't mean to leave out the entire rest of the continental US, Canada, Hawaii etc but we really have a problem here that only another NJ- zee- an could even imagine.

Pleading you know,,,,, I don't do pleading and begging well

"down the Shore", NJ(Zone 7a)

Hi Carol, I'm in NJ, but 'down the Shore', less smog, border of zone 7. I'll be watching this thread to see what advice you get, as I am new to Brugs this year! I did once grow 'Ecuador Pink', a rooted cutting from Logee's, and it did have several spectacular blooms, but I was unable to overwinter it at the time. Thanks to some Brug enablers, I have the start of a new collection, and hope they will do well. Good luck! John

Yes, yes, yes.

Thank you, John.

Guess who used to live down the shore! Toms River mannny moons ago.

'Toms River is the shore to me dear.

You rooted cutting....You are a master gardener in my opinion!

Zone 7 in NJ........tell me where; but privately..... I wanna move there. I don't want anyone else to know Z7 in NJ.
Oh, you said border! That means anywhere from Maryland to Atlantic City. I know, us New = Jer+SEE = ANS exagerate beyond belief. RONTFLOL

The rest of the Brug growers here are also laughing like .... right now, but....to me that's a WOW!

Well, we will see what comes to light here.

Maybe only I, near Nwk. Apt. and you near Heaven (in a Bay- o - nites opinion) are the only 2 people to have a Brug in NJ; except for this 80 year old that I wanna..........

No not kill but....

Man, I so did think I would get my puppies "BRUGS" pic in the paper. Nah, beat by an 80 year old. God is good though, right! I am sure my mother intercepted that fly ball..........give it to the 'ol guy

God Please!!!!!!!

This man......so cool........said, "are you the person that was snapping, flashing lites in my LR window one nite?"

Yes sir, that was me! But wait sir, "Im not a preevert! You will soon see your moonlite ladies from my camera!"

That was the first time I ever saw a real live Brug!

I know he thinks I'm nuts but ........he is right! Aren't we all.

I stopped by to give him a pic of those puppies but I think he is in Lake Hopatcong.

Anyway John, thanks for coming to the forefront here, at least I know I am not alone....'tis so comforting....

Sure

JUST WHAT I NEED............. MORE COMPETITION!

My best
God Bless
