Here they are!! My seeds!! This was the first successful cross I ever made. I did have a pod that formed a few days later that ripened a while back. This is one of the pods that stayed on the large tree that was in the ground. I finally cut the branch and brought it into the green house in October, because we were going to have a hard freeze. I am so happy!! Thanks Eric for telling me how to pollinate these things!! I wonder if I pollinate a flower every day if I would have a ripe pod every day?

Congratulations Cala!!!!!!! We know how much patience it took to wait for this to ripen but the wait was well worth it by the looks of all the nice dark seeds you now have. We are proud of you.

Cala, gonna be some pretty babies in there!

Way to go Cala! I don't even see any duct tape on the pod. You must have been very good with this one. :-)
Hope you get some great babies from those seeds.

Y'all know I will share!! I have promised a few, and will keep a few for myself, but let em know if you are interested in these. The only requirement is that you must share anything really cool with the entire group!!

Calalily,

I am interested in seeds when the time comes. And I for one can't wait to have something really cool to share with you all.

Cala-that cross is very similar to my Dr.Sues x Ecuador pink so I am betting that you get some very nice peach to pink versicolors with serrated to velvety leaves from that batch. Keep us posted on you results.

Calla, cant wait to see what that will look like, you will surely have to post a picture of that plant as it matures and blooms.
Congratulations :)

Congratulations! After all those months of sitting on your hands staring holes into the pod!

Franktown, CO(Zone 5a)

Your pod looks great. I'd love some seeds to try. I had 2 pods ripen within days of each other, so I suppose if you did pollinate one every day you'd get a ripen pod almost every day. Wohoo!!

Please tell me I'm not seeing things. Are there a lot of words now highlighted in blue in Cala's post???? Cleaned my glasses, they're still there. Maybe too much Pepsi.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

they are links to the new Gardenology. it's a glossary of gardening terms.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Snow, the words are highlighted in everybodys posts. I don't know what's going on. Maybe there is something about it in the forum "Daves Garden". I will go see.

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

Go to Daves garden - the blue refers to the new Gardenology forum. I thought I was hallucinating.LOL

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Cool, now if I don't know what something is, I can just click on a word and it will be defined. We can even add words and their definitions.

Angleton, TX(Zone 9a)

Cala, I am happy for you. It sounds like there are going to be some pretty flowers. If you have a couple seeds left, I would like to participate in growing them. I will gladly send you pictures and let you know how your babies are doing.

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

Whew!!! Thought I was getting Pepsi overdosed. This new Gardenology is very very cool. Now that I know I wasn't seeing things I'm gonna go play with it.

The seeds are all promised now. I hope to have more pods very soon.

I blamed Ron for messing up the computer when I saw all that blue writting. LOL Glad to see I'm not the only one that saw it.
