Anyone have Winterberry?

Belfield, ND(Zone 4a)

I've been real discouraged that all the birds left this winter. I haven't had to fill the birdfeeders since last fall. I don't know where they went, but I've been looking for some plants and shrubs to attract them into staying in the winter. I would love some winterberry seeds. Ilxex verticillata I think they are. Does anyone have this plant with enough berries left to share a few, and would be willing to share with me for SASE or you can look at my meager trade list. I'm new to all this as of last year. Both me and the birds would appreciate it. Well, I would appreciate it, whether the birds appreciate it remains to be seen. I miss the birds and want to entice them into staying next winter.

Hi JoanJ,
I have three small Winterberry bushes.
I grow them for the birds, too,
and those birds have eaten all of the berries
already for this year!
If you don't hear from anyone else,
let me know, and I can try and save you some seeds
from this coming fall season. The greenhouse
(where I purchased the shrubs) said that you need
male & female plants for berry production.
I know which plant is the male plant pollinator,
and I can mark these seeds for you,
if this will work...
Maybe someone else here at DG's
is more knowledgeable about these things?

Thanks. If I don't find any I'll let you know. I didn't know that you needed a male and female of this bush either. That's a good piece of information.
