I planted some asparagus fern seeds this week, and the packet (from trade) said that it took 3 weeks to 3 months to germinate and bottom heat is good. They came up the next day!!!!!! They were about the size of a MG seed, and I had to take the soft covering off them and soak, then I put them on the heat mat. Does that sound like what they really are?????? Could it be true???

It could be. I've never grown asparagus fern from seeds but a lot of things really depend on freshness of the seeds... and I think with most trades you're usually getting the freshest possible. You'll have to let us know how they turn out.
TiG, do they look like little "miniature asparagus"? You did good to get them up that quick!! If they turn out not to be asperagus fern, I've got bunches of seed that I just toss into a pot and you are welcome to them.
