Here are the 4.5 inch pots of dirt, ready for the cuttings.
The cuttings are tiny and I will put about 6 in each pot.

No, I left the growing tip. There were lots more side shoots, just not big enough to cut yet. I did bunches of tip cuttings last year, and those side shoots are much "tougher"* than tip cuttings and I figured I'd give it a try.
*I mean stronger wood, not harder to root.

Cala, Are you using the ProMix dry or are you wetting it first. It looks dry in the picture.

I usually wet it, but we have this automatic pot filling thingie and the mix is dry in it. I found that all I have to do is water it lightly a few times and it's okay. Seems to keep me from getting them too wet!!
