I love versicolors, especially the Ecuador Pink. I know different ones here have different favorites and I thought it would be interesting for us to share our favorites.

I like the versicolor orange and the hybrid, Jean Pasco for color, shape, and number of blooms. I love them all, but of the ones I had bloom last summer, those two are my favorites. I am sure I'll change my mind after this summer.

OK, what happened to my picture, it was huge when I saved it. I'll never get this photo stuff figured out. See Eric, you have nothing to fear about posting an odd looking photo.

it seems i sent a lot of cuttings of VPX, Eric's versicolor type hybrid DrS X EP..... two more of his are kinda like that, they bloomed late and not a lot of blooms so hard to tell/remember. i loved his white versi type whites too. and jean pasco and culebra is awesome in full bloom...gotta make babies with her..sorry brugman, lost all the buds...hoping you are doing well with yours.

I would LOVE to have a white versicolor. Do you have any left Arlene? I will dig around and find something you want to trade for it.

Calla, i didn't save any cuttings, when they start growing i will get you cuttings, shouldn't be too long, if i forget, please remind me!!!

I just realized that I have one of these plants, I looked it up in my Western Plant book. But I certainly don't know which one I have. They do grow very well in So. Calif. Mine gets so big it must be cut back frequently, I give it no particular care. Norma

norma, bet it's still blooming, got any pics?

hi Norma!! welcome to the brug forum! they like to be fed heavily in warm weather, if you didn't know:)

Okay, my favorite variety is the aurea. Of course my favorite in my collection for seed bearing is the Butterfly. Rosabell is my favorite pollen bearer. I think Culebra is going to be my favorite for unusual characteristics though and its a good seed setter as well.

I'm just going by the pictures I see... but I'd have to say versicolors too. I can't get over those huge flushes of blooms!! I hope I can get one to do that some day.

My favorite is ...... the blooming one :)

aurea`s and arborea for me, please :) ... blooming too off cause or with plenty of fruits as in Cala`s plants :)

I think I will also like Pride of Hanover 2001 (a white slender, hanging suaveolens-looking versicolor hybrid of 60 cm.), but especially if I can cross some aurea shape into the corolla and maybe ad some interesting color ... a double colored of 60 cm. wouldn`t be so bad either ... then again, - it is a multi-hybrid, so I could end up with small odd colored flower sizes as well as large good ones.

Arlene, What did you ever name that Dr.Sues x Ecuador pink? I have two other Dr.Sues x Ecuador pinks from that same cross. Do you have those as well. Dr.D and Amber Rose?

Tig,
Me too..whatever is blooming at the time.

Brugman, i have dr d, not amber rose. btw, saw my local trading friend the other day. she apparently had one bloom, versi type, yellow, said then it got peachy but kept yellow flecks....she didn't get a pic. i will keep close tabs this year with her, see what blooms, get me some cuttings, all that....!
I just call it VPX.....and VPX1 and VPX2......

My favorite will be whatever one blooms for me in the short growing season that we have here. :)

I have too many favorites, my Flava hybrid because it is so beautiful, Bert's yellow aurea hybrid, cause it's so cute, suaveolens blanc in the summer because it overpowers the scent of 250 roses and so on......
