Iam looking for colocasias and alocasias that I don't have.I have several types already but wish to add more unusual types to my tropical beds outdoors this summer.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

I can't help you but would love to have the recently new black one. I also want to try a banana this summer.

Chipley, FL(Zone 8a)

Eclipse, I have the Alocasia sanderiana that you can some of if you don't have that one. Let me know and I will send to you when it gets warmer up there.

Brugie, didn't I see the black one in Wayside Gardens new book or was it another one. Can't remember, but I will look. The have the 'Black Pearl' I think it was called the Calla Lilly, gonna have to break down and buy that. My mom collects the calla's and see wants that, so guess I will get it for Mother's Day. Dee

Brugie I can get you a start of Colocasia Black Magic towards spring. You can pick it up about April or so.Remind closer to warm weather.

Thanks Kyle,

It would be easier if I could just send you a Priority Stamp and have you send it, but if that isn't convenient for you, I'll find a way.

Pebble,
I have several obsessions. Growing Brugs is my first and most serious, gingers, particularly Hedychiums, second and Alocasia and Colocasias third. Also have mild obsession for cannas--not as strong as the other 3..

Bodrum, Turkey(Zone 10a)

Barb, I would say that yes, you do... Just judging from your list above. But what a good obsession to have.
Plants are my obsession too, but I guess not on the scale as everyone else here seems to have. I thought I did till I saw everyone's lists here.

I traded some brugs with you last year you may recall.

Hattiesburg, MS(Zone 8a)

Pebble,
Yes, I remember. Do you have any new brugs you would be interested in trading?
Barbara

Bodrum, Turkey(Zone 10a)

Barb, I'm afraid I don't, most of my brugs died....weather related... I need a greenhouse! If I had a greenhouse, I think my obsession would equal everyone else's here, but unfortunately since I don't, I feel defeated from the get go.

Toadsuck, TX(Zone 7a)

Kyle, need to get in here and ask you how tall and wide the Alocasia Macrorhizza becomes;)

Eyesof..it gets leaves about 20 inches long and about 18 inches wide at the base..the whole plant will be around 3 feet tall in the peak of the summer season..feed well (during summer only) and keep moist not wet and stand back..the babies will be everywhere!! :-)

Toadsuck, TX(Zone 7a)

Thanks, mucho grande.....and BTW.....It's "eyes" to my friends...;)

Pebble,
Sorry about your brugs. Later in spring, if you are interested, contact me and for postage I can send you several cuttings of some of the common brugs.
