Does anyone have it? I've been waiting for it to grow since October. I know it's alive but it just won't leaf out. It's just a stick with little buds that WON'T GROW!! What gives??

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

I have it poppy. will put you down for first cutting in spring.

tiG....could I have a cutting too?.....Please.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

putting you next!! I love that trade tracker. I have lapses, but vow to use it every time now!!

Thank you

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

tiG you ARE a sweetie!! ... but I'm hoping I won't need one. How's your growing? Is it slow? I'd like to be able to share cuttings from mine but at this rate it'll take 5 years!

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

mine's slow too, but it's dormant right now, so it's really hard to say. Got it in the fall.

I just love Okra. Does anyone here have any recipes for Brunswick stew with Okra? Lol, seriously, as long as were giving out Ocre could I get on that list somewhere. I know I have already promised you some seed, but I can give you a list of the crosses I make as I make em this year for a cutting of that one.

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

i read on some site that ocre was relatively not very healthy, think there is a later model out that is "better". think i read this.

Arelene,
Yes, I have heard that as well. I would still want the old one though as I am strange like that and I rarely make any sense. Of course if I had the new one that would be nice as well.

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

Eric, I'd be honored to put you on my list. Time for cutting it up into little pieces:)

Spicewood, TX(Zone 8b)

Okrah? Brugman, are you talkin' about Okrah Winfrey?

FSH, TX

lol, Wingnut-now that made me laugh. Thanks I needed that.

Wingnut, you are a hoot!! I laughed too.

tiG maybe mine is dormant too? I'd think it'd be warm enough in the house... I do believe I see some teeny weenie leaves coming now. I cut the end off the stalk off and cut it into small pieces. I'll try my best to root them. I'm not very good at this stuff but if I have any luck I'd be happy to share.

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

poppysue, you have two natural green thumbs. could well be taking a winter rest...

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

Arlene this brug stuff isn't so easy for me. I'd hate to admit how many I have on my dead list now.... It has kept me busy this winter though. I haven't planted any other seeds yet - and my two light stands are just about full with brugs. It's gonna be a challenge to find yard space this spring!

Chipley, FL(Zone 8a)

Hey poppysue, I have plenty of yard space if you put any up for adoption..

Newberry, FL(Zone 8B)

Poppysue, you don't even want to know how many i killed.. makes me ill! i believe i kept them too wet. i feel a lot more comfortable with cuttings, still have see fear. i am with you, trying to figure out how to get what i have in pots in the ground. i alternate between knowing i have enough and just gotta have that certain couple more.
