Anybody here growing this? I got cuttings a couple of times but never got them to root, so I decided to try starting one from seed. The seeds I got weren't the freshest, but I did get three to germinate. Now my question is---how fast should they grow? They've been 2" tall for about a month now. Should I be feeding them, or move them to a bigger pot, or what?
Alyogyne/blue hibiscus question
MsBatt,
I had these in san Diego. They start out slow like tropical hibiscus seedlings.Feed lightly ( 1/3 the normal amount) Keep warm 70F and not too moist. These come from Australia so they tend to use less water than tropical hibiscus.Be patient...when they start growing they will take off. They get 3' tall as a rule.
