This is what we got up to this morning. Glad I don't have brugs in the ground now. Will be getting another 8 inches on top of this mess. Can't get out the driveway either. Think it is time to move south. The skies are so gray that I'm sure we will be getting the next round real soon.
This is just one more reason I enjoy seeing all of your brugs blooming now.

No Brugs Growing Here......
Brugie, I know that you probably don't want to hear this, but I think it's a beautiful scene. I will have to admit that I would not want this for any length of time because I don't like being confined indoors. Do you go out and work in your greenhouse daily?
F.
Shirley, the snow is beautiful but it sure does look cold there. I will think about you when I look at my brugs today.
I grew up in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Aahhh I remember well! Very pretty though.
Frannie,
I don't have my greenhouse heated until about the middle of March. Last year I started Mar. 1 and had some scary and cold nights to deal with. Don't want to lose my plants, so will wait until I know I can heat it okay. We have lucked out today. Only 1-3 more inches before it is all over. We have 10 inches now. Surprisingly, Cala, it is about 30 degrees now. I can handle that. This has been an unusually warm winter, so I guess we had this coming. Deanne, you are lucky to not be here today, but you might get part of this storm before it is over. Good luck.
Well, it was 81 degrees at my house last night, and I think that's just as hard or harder on my plants than your snow! The kicker is that it's supposed to be in the low 30's by the weekend. I can't deny that I enjpyed my time outdoors yesterday and today, but that will really make it hurt worse when the temps fall, as they surely will.
We got 6 inches of snow this morning, now its sleeting ,suppose to turn to freezing rain soon. Then it is suppose to go up in the 40's tomorrow. Why do I live here?
CC, I think it is time for your family and mine to make a move. However, I would sure miss the four seasons.
We can read about the 4 seasons,(or buy their CD,LOL) ,we can see pictures of the 4 seasons, who needs it!!!Well ,I am trudging out to the barn, to drive my pickup up and down the driveway ,so Chuck can get his Mustang down the driveway and into the barn. the driveway is 450 feet long, and I am NOT snowblowing it .
CC,
The first thing I did when left Colorado was give away that Dang Snow Blower...if I never see another one it will be to soon. Y'all come on down.
It was sunny and 75 today. I thought of you Brugie and CC up there in the cold. The only bad thing was the 20MPH wind that blew all day. Poor Wally wore himself out chasing leaves.
Brugie & CC:
We ended up with 12+ inches of snow and freezing rain. Some places ended up with 1/4" or more of ice. Luckily we missed that part. You have to admit it is so pretty after a fresh heavy snow. I use to live in Florida when I was a teenager and I have to admit I did miss my seasons. Over the weekend we were in the high 50's. Waiting for the second blast to head in tonight. Hopefully it will wait until my DH is home. He is a trucker, very careful driver but its the others out there that scare me. They say were are going to get more freezing rain and then another 1-3" of snow. Wasn't all that bad ended up with the day off since I live about 40 miles from work. Your right we have had a very mild winter.
