here's the last one: http://davesgarden.com/showthread/179391.html but it was getting reallllllllll long:)
newest panhandle thread
here's one of the things I'm starting for the swap, will only have two at most though. I'm hoping that if I can get lots of neat tropicals started that y'all will be happy with seedlings. Have to think of room in Cala's truck, I don't want her leaving me:)

Wow, tiG, what an unusual beautiful plant. I hope Glory wants one, cause then Jen and I will get one too!
BrugNanny,
If there is any more seedlings I would really be interested. I wish I was going.
Hi, everyone. snow and brugnanny, thanks for your offers! Brugie and all, was at wallyworld this morning, miracle grow is now selling something called throw and grow, timed released fertilizer, 8 pounds for 11.97 i think. first trip to my local nursery, bought hurricane jenny coleus starts, they are really cool looking, my first coleus in years. does anyone have any starts of dutchman's pipe vine?? also, for the last few years they have sold tissue culture raja puri bananas, best for our area, will fruit in 9 months, about 12 feet tall not as tall as most, for $3.00 in four inch pots. they probably won't get them in until march, will check back and let people know if anyone is interested. i started with one of these and in 2 months had 4 pups....
I have an extra Dutchmans pipe that's yours Arlene.
thank you thank you!!
do y'all realize how many of you don't have trade lists? I was looking for wants so I could get some things started. I guess I'll start what looks good to me, and hope y'all like them:)
Guilty as charged Tig, and you beat me to offering Arlene a Dutchman's Pipe.
Might anyone be interested in an Althea(rose of Sharon) that's in a gallon pot?
Roz,
If you have room I will take a seedling of the Cassia, otherwise, I will try to get the seeds to sprout. Tried last year with no luck, so I will try again. Gloria, I have Confederate Rose rooted cuttings if you don't have room for the gallon pot. I also don't have a trade list. Dee
Dee, I'll put your name on a Cassia.
Anyone have a variegated White Brug that they could bring to the Swap for this poor Brug deprived person...me....LOL Liz and I are interested in getting a pink variegated Brug.
Dee...Althea( Rose of Sharon) is not the same as Confederate Rose..smaller flower...looks like a hibiscus.

It looks like I am a day late and a dollar short! It appears that everyone is covered on the cassia and dutchman's pipe that is going to the swap meet. If not, email me.
WaterlooLily email me with your address. I can send you a small plant or some seeds.
I think I will just take whatever I have that looks ok.If no one wants them I can bring them back.I will have a good number of the more common Brugs, some seedlings,as well as a few from the "A"list. Will also be bringing some herbs,Epies,Hidden Ginger, figs,Passifloras and other fun stuff.
Arlene....If the Raja Puris come in,keep me in mind.
I'm interested in practically everything you guys have mentioned. Just don't know if I'll have much of anything you folks will want. How long did it take your brug cuttings to sprout? I did some a few days ago. Yellow, don't know the name. I have a confederate rose from seed someone can have. It's still small (8-12 inches). Tig, weren't you the other person that wanted a harlequin glorybower?
Is everyone from far off driving in Friday to the swap? Just wondered if we could get an early start on some of the other things some might want to do? Like visit the rusty garden art man or the orchid man.
G2S, you get the first one out of my yard, they aren't coming back yet but they will. i had to with bananas this year, but ended up letting them frost.
Me, Me, Glory I have one. Imagine, something I can give you. I have 3, 2 are doing great, 1 is a little puny. I will put your name on it. If you come up with a pink variegated, I get to be the god parent. Dee
And you are right the Confederate Rose looks almost like the Camellia's (at least the ones I have do, they are the double)

This is the first time I popped my head into this - you guys are going to have SOOO MUUUUUCH FUUUN! I hope you take lots of pictures - don't forget now - everybody take a camera. It'll make us feel like we're there with you.
yes, ginger, I want the glory bower! I went back through all the old threads today (we have talked a bunch!) and made notes of all I've promised. ginger, it's not about having equal swaps, not to me anyway. It's more in the getting together! I can't wait, this is going to be so much fun. Only 44 days left not counting the 16th. I don't know what time we're getting there, so I don't know if we can do the yard art or orchids on Friday. I think Cala will have to be the one in our group to make the actual plans, she's doing all the driving, I'm just hitching a ride:)
ginger, i think i am coming up friday, will overnight at my sis's house in crestview, don't know what time i am coming yet. i do have orchid fear, maybe after the kids move out i'll have the courage to try them. if it is like the trades i have been to, there will be some "special" trades, and a lot of "please take this" and lots of fun.
Dee,
thats great...is the V.White difficult to root?
Oh, before I forget again...could you scan that Brug section of Native Hab. cat. and email it to me. Thanks
Glory, Sorry, I didn't send Native Hab cat yet, can't get my scanner program at home to work so I will take it to work and scan in there. Will post for you in the morning.
I have found (yeh, like I have been doing this long) that the var white roots and grows faster than the Peaches and Cream. They are all about the same age, yet the white are bigger. Anyone know why?? By the way everyone, I sent an email tonight, sorry but it got rather long. And Ginger, what is the harlequin glory bower, bet this is something else that I am gonna want. Dee
Dee, no problem....thanks
okay, after prowling the yard there isnt too much that looks good.
i have TONS of huge crinum lilys. they are white with faint pink stripes. i also have quite a few spider lilys (lycoris). i feel rather guilty of buying wally world marigolds, lol, so i think ill pass on that.
i have gingers that i just recently dug that ill get potted up and bring those also. i need to find the name of them tho. some are commen white butterfly and the other is a pink something or another.
i have quite a few daylilys, unfortunately i dont know if i erradicated the daylily rust so im leary of bringing tho. thats a shame too because i have a gazillion named varieties.
what im really looking for are hummingbird attracting plants. i fell in love with those boogers this year.
tig, if noone has claimed the plant you posted, please find something i have that you would like...i have 2 great kids, want one of those? they are GREAT for weeding, moving, etc..
lol
jen
hey sweetie, putting your name on it, I would love!! one of the pink gingers, but I can also take an IOU!! (in fact, if one of these seeds turns out to be THE ONE, I'll owe you big time:)
Jen, I would love a pink ginger too if you have one left. I'm like TiG, I'll take an IOU.
actually, I wouldn't be unhappy if I came home empty handed, cause my heart will be full!! Seriously, if there is anything I mention that anyone wants, you won't owe me anything, just knowing that perhaps I can start something you'll like is joy to me. I also am hoping to bring some seedlings of C. Ursuline x Euro crosses, will get a final count of us all just before I leave, so I hope to have one for everyone. That I will take an IOU for, one of the first cuttings:)
