Brewers, KY(Zone 6b)

Hi ya gang! Well...I have her!!! Last night we returned home with a new baby! We bought our first(notice the word first) milk goat yesterday. She is a Nubian milker. She is due to kid on Feb. 6. That is only a few weeks away..I will be depending on you goat folks for help :-). We picked her up in Mobile, Ala. which is about a 4 hour drive for us. It was a very interesting ride home yesterday with a huge goat riding in the van, yes, the van! We took out the two captain seats in the middle of the van and made a "portable stall" . We laid down some plastic and lined it with lots of wood chips. She did fine. But boy, the looks we got! I didn't have to tie her down but held on to her rope and she just looked out of the window as we traveled. It was funny. Her name is "Baily's Irish Creme". I am just thrilled. I really hope to get more goats in the future, hubby likes 'em too. Have a great day all! Blessings, Lisa
