Need flower seeds for shady woodland area...

Carbondale, IL(Zone 6a)

Does anyone know of or have any seeds of flowers that can be planted in a shady woodland area? It's for a friend who lives in the woods and doesn't have any colorful flowers growing there. What would grow? She has tons of hostas and ferns, but no color! The trees are all hardwood and native to IL(I think that makes a difference in growing plants) I'd be willing to trade seeds and other things for some seeds or plants for these! Thanks!!!:))

Hi, I would have some plants in the spring, do you still have trading rocks? I will have (depending on Mother Nature-we are haveing a weird winter)lily of the valley, wild geranium, pulmonaria, woodland phlox ( white and pink) vinca vine ,violets, and maybe some columbine plants. I do have columbine seeds (double purple) Just let me know-I will put her on the trade list for spring that feels like it is here-but we in WI know better.
