Good morning all. The day started out sunny and cold, but it's supposed to be a warm weekend. We seem to be missing the really cold weather. There's still snow on the ground, but it sinks a little each day. January thaw part 2.
KathyJo, you can use my silly cows as an example, good or bad, any time you want to. Stan always says it easier for him to catch them alone than to have people who don't know the cattle or don't know what they're doing. If you went after ours with a 4 wheeler, they'd either freak or chase the 4 wheeler! We move our animals around so much that they are fairly easy to load and move. I've NEVER met anyone with cattle who hadn't had them get out at some time or other and if they say different, they're probably lying!
Jewel, good to hear about the goats. I'm always amazed at how some newborns just don't want to eat. Give them 12 hours or so and, if they're healthy, they will take it down. We have a stomach tube for the really hard cases, but hate to use it.
Well, DD starts her new job next Wednesday. I will have Jess 4 days a week with Wednesday off and Tom will get off the bus here everyday. Julia went shopping yesterday and bought herself 4 new outfits and some tops and 2 pair of shoes. She'd never been to Kohl's before, but it's now her favorite store. She and Jess went alone and had a very good mother-daughter day. Jessie of course, did a running commentary in the dressing room as to whether she like the clothes or not. I guess it was pretty funny.
Guess I'd better get to work.
take good care,
kathleen
