Just a few words....

High Springs, FL(Zone 8b)

of encouragement to you folks here that have decided to live the healthy life!

For the past several years my husband and I have been seriously considering our retirement plans and have been saving and planning for it. Around the time we turned 40, I realized that there was no way we could enjoy retirement if our health was bad and we had to spend all our money on doctors. Even though we've never had any major physical problems we weren't really doing anything to ensure that we'd be in good shape by the time we became senior citizens.

Soooo, we joined a health club and began working out on a regular basis, started making gradual dietary changes and made sure we continued our regular medical and dental exams. Now, neither one of us has a "bikini bod" by any means, but there are so many other benefits from regular exercise that it doesn't matter to us that we don't look like models. BTW, I'm the world's worst about making excuses for NOT working out, so there are times when I only make it once a week (or less!) but I'm still going. ; )

To me, the most important thing is that we decided to make a change, and we did! Just like those of you on this forum that are taking charge of your health. No, you won't see the results overnight, but you WILL see the results! Not to mention the fact that you'll have many more years to enjoy your spouse, kids and grandkids. Oh, and your gardens, too!

KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!
