Hello farmers. Everyone must be very busy today. We did our chores and went to town to get supplies before the comming storm gets here. When we came home we already had 1 foot snow drifts in the driveway. Our neighbor called to say he would plow us out tomorrow right after he gets his cattle fed. Another neighbor says he heard we will probably get another foot of snow out of this one. We are ok for several days even if we do get snowed in. Hubby just fixed our sattelite tv dish with a clamp from the wood shop. Snow falling off the roof broke some little spot welds on it so it was kind of dangling. He says it needs to be drilled and have bolts put in it, but the clamp will do for now. I think he won't be giving it a permanent fix any time this winter. Yesterday when I was filling a water tank for the horses snow came sliding off the roof and just missed me. I think it wouldn't have hurt me but would sure have knocked me down and put a lot of snow down my neck. I had been standing right where it landed about a minute before. This morning I noticed deer tracks in the driveway, looks like just one snooping around but he will likely bring his friends next time. He went pretty close to the doghouse so either the dog didn't hear him or didn't care. I hope you all have a good evening, count your blessings.
