*Yawn* - another late start. Hope y'all have been doing well through your lunch hours. We just finished our brunch, LOL.

Howie made a yummy gravy using Morninstar Farms "hamburger" crumbles and a jarred low-fat chicken gravy. We each had an egg (fried in Pam cooking spray) and two pieces of low-cal toast with the 1/2 cup gravy poured over top. The whole thing was 255 calories and 9g fat. I'll take the leftover gravy stuff and make some type of shepherd's pie with kidney beans, I think.

I just love today's devotional: We are not alone! We are all here for you and supporting your efforts to be a healthier person - and God is rooting for you, too. :o)

Today's devotional immediately brought to mind this Scripture: Hebrews 4:14-16 -- http://bible.whitinger.net/showverse.php3?vid=30029

Having the support of you guys, people who are facing similar temptations and want to change, really helps Howie and me. And it gives me much hope knowing that I have Someone to turn to who has been tempted in *every* way, yet overcame those temptations. And I can approach Him boldly and trust Him.

Today's Devotion:

Jesus fasted forty days in the wilderness, and He was sustained by His faith. The devil came to Him and tried to tempt Him with bread, but He refused to give in. This is a good image for us to remember when we are dieting. Often we feel we cannot go on when we miss just one meal. Christ proved to us that even after missing meals for forty days, there is still a source of strength other than food. That source is God, and His strength is available to everyone who will ask for it. Let us remember to follow in the steps of Jesus Christ and lean on our heavenly Father whenever we feel weak or tempted.

Today's Thought: I am facing nothing that Christ did not face before me.

Today's Scripture: Psalms 85:13 - http://bible.whitinger.net/showverse.php3?vid=15285
