Pinetree Garden Seeds sells the seeds for the purple variety for, I think, 10 seeds for less than a dollar. The white ones are fairly easy to find, but MUCH more costly. The purple ones open white, then turn purple over the next day to two, so you get the purple-and-white effect with just the one color, if that's what you're looking for. I have tried for several years to grow them as annuals, but they seem to need a longer season than I have here in north Alabama. this year I've started some inside already, and I plan to plant some in the ground and some in a pot to carry inside. I have heard that one can take cuttings inside for the winter and get a head-start on next year---we'll see how that goes. I'd love to hear from anybody who regularly grows these as annuals.

Ok, found a picture of the white one and also some growing tips on them.
