Hello folks,
Beautiful day out today. Right now it's 50 degrees!! I hope we don't have to pay for this nice weather later. I am ordering from seed catalogs like gangbusters. I need to just throw all the left-over seeds into the ground from last year just to get them out of my little baggie in the fridge. Spring fever is hitting like a sledge hammer.!!
DH finally got his deer with the black powder rifle yesterday (on the last day of the season!!) It was a really nice doe, so we will be cutting up deer tonight. Hopefully, DH will take the scraps and get some salami made somewhere. I get tired of moving those big garbage bags of deer meat around in the freezer, trying to find something for supper. I need to get some big onions for the grill because the guys helping cut will want some deer steaks on the grill with a huge slab of onion on it, plus some garlic powder.
DS's friend almost lost an eye yesterday. He was boiling some deer skulls to clean them up so he could hang them on his garage and he had a knife (a really big knife) in his hand trying to get some of the hide off and he slipped and stabbed himself in the nose. He got 8 stitches and also broke part of his nose in the process. He is really lucky that it wasn't his eye.
Well, I want to go home right now and dig out the rake and start cleaning up the yard and do some landscaping. Fire up that chainsaw and start cutting. DH should be shaking in his shoes right now, just thinking about me with a chain saw in my hand.!!
