brug Question

Saint Petersburg, FL(Zone 9b)

Just wanted to ask I have some pink X white brugs seedlings that I got the seeds from C.C. it apears that some leaves are smoth and rounded and the others have leaves that are like the CG I think that has been discribed as tooth??? Now is this going to be one of each type of the parent plants or doesn't that matter????

From what I have read that seedlings can have some characteristics of both parents, some more than others,or can be throw backs to what ever was originally breed into the parent/grandparent etc....Just like kids or puppies....

sounds like a question for Brugman, think you could get some that aren't like either parents also.

Oh yeah, you could, because who knows what the parents ,parents ,parent was

Irish, mine are the same that I got from CC. Some almost look like sanguinea seedlings, how can that be? I thought I must have mixed them up, I am quite confused. I'll post some pics of them later. What do yours look like, CC? or anybody else.

CC, i was posting while you were, just read your post above mine, think you had it all covered there i just didn't see it...slow poster here.

Some of mine have strange leaves, and some of the other seedling ,that I've started from others, have 1 or 2 ,that just don't look like the rest.

Well, I don`t know if Brugs follow same revert pattern as selffertile plants ... if they do the 1. generation will be almost uniform and the seeds of the 1. generation plants will be a lot of forms in between the parent types ... if the parents were hybrids, some of the seeds of the 1. generation will look like some of the earlier ancestors too and also intermediare forms. That leaves a lot of oppotunities for Brug leaves, flower shape, size and color.

I like to ask, - do the brugs follow this pattern generally?

I meant to say in the previous post just how much I enjoy the far-ranging questions I see on this forum!
