Neem Oil spray

This site gives detailed instructions on how to mix the neem oil as well as how to use it. I don't use this brand, but noticed they had an excellent price if shipping isn't too much!! I've been paying $10 a quart for pure neem oil. It doesn't take much, and it's good for both fungus and insect control. It is a growth regulator and gives some control by smothering the pests, especially mites.

Cala, do you know what Ultra-Fine oil is? Made by Sun Spray. I bought it and then heard someone say they ruined their plants with it so I'm afraid to use it. Wasn't anyone on Daves. I've had this stuff for almost two years now and it has never been opened.

Brugie
I bought a 2 gallon bottle of that several years ago. I finally threw it out. It damaged all the leaves I used it on. It ruined anything with even slightly hairy leaves and spotted the others so badly that I had to cut them off. Neem oil isn't anything like the Ultra Fine Oil. I've not burned anything with the Neem and I've been using it for several years. It is wonderful to use on roses and will keep the black spot and powdery mildew completely away all summer. It stopped powdery mildew on my phlox, dogwood, lilac and monarda.
I may be wrong, but I'm thinking the Ultra Fine Oil is ultra processed vegetable oil, i.e. small particles.

I just read the label and it is 98.8% paraffinic oil, whatever that is and 1.2% Emulsifier. Wish I had sent it back nearly two years ago. Maybe I could use it on the orchard trees and be okay.

OK, I remember now!!! Yes, i think it may be safe on some fruit trees, use it like dormant oil or something.

Was telling my friend who owns the local Agway store about the mites on my Brugs. He told me he had a spray that would not harm the plants and would kill the mites. I wound up buying some and sprayed one of the Brugs. It killed the mites on the plant I used to test it with no damage to the leaves. It has no odor either and is made to use in the home or GH. It's called Concern Insect Killing Soap. It's made from specially formulated potassium salts of fatty acids. Kills scale bugs, aphids, earwigs, mealybugs, rose slugs , mites ,thrips, and white fly.Probably the same as Safer soap but I was happy it worked.

Yes, it's like our Safer's soap. There are several good ones on the market. I use it too.

Callalilly Where can I purchase pure Neem Oil in quart size?

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Carol, I buy the Green Light brand of neem oil, sold as Green Light Rose Defense. It's 99% pure. I use the Safer's Insecticidal Soap to make it blend better.
