dalia tuber

I never got around to taking up a dahlia tuber last fall. We had low temps for 2 or 3 weeks and ground was frozen hard. After 3 warmer days, I went out in front, and the soil was soft again, so I quickly went and got my garden fork and took it up. It's now sitting in an empty pot. Now what do I do? Do I plant it inside or let it dry out, or what? There are about 4 tubers in the mass. Any suggestions? Doris

Doris I store mine in the cellar till spring along with all my other bulbs.
